The white rice and miso soup are also very good. The food is outstanding, with good sized portions of the rolls themselves, you definitely won’t be leaving hungry. Lighting upstairs is really cool and the bamboo is a really nice touch. Some of the absolute best sushi in Colorado if you can afford it! This has got to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! I say experience because along with the amazing food you pay for the ambiance as well. There are way better sushi spots in Denver! Just wanted to see what all the hype is about Sushi den. Did not want to try desserts and we were let down by the food and very pricey dinner (which was not worth it) We paid around $120 for 2 people and still had to go home and eat. The prawns were kind of bland and not grilled to perfection. For a dish that costs $30, they serve 5 pieces of tiger prawns with a teeny tiny bit of mango chunks (which they call mango salsa) and a scoop of mashed potatoes. I had high expectations from the tiger prawns dish. ![]() It smelled filthy! The other rolls were okish. We ordered spider roll which had such a pungent smell and horrible taste that I did not eat after one bite. I am very sad to say this but the food was average and very pricey for what they serve quantity and quality wise. Drinks are good - I ordered Blackberry slush something and it was good (very leas alcohol, mostly just juice) Perfect for a date night or gathering of friends/family. Good things first - the ambience is classy and warm. I had really really high hopes from this restaurant and finally got a weeknight dinner reservation. That is awful business and it’s incredibly disrespectful especially given the amount of money we’ve spent with them. Under no circumstances would I ever return here or recommend them. I called to discuss how extremely rude and unprofessional it was and explained that we used to order about 3-4 times a week from them ($30+ per order) and he said “you no pay for extra chicken I don’t want your business “ and hung up on me. My wife recently went to pick up our order and the owner flipped out on and started yelling at her in front of other customers saying “you no pay for extra chicken, you no pay extra chicken”. They had always substituted the extra chicken at no charge because we didn’t get anything else in the bowl. We order the the Chicken bowls but we order only chicken and noodles (and leave out all of the other ingredients I.e. We started eating at Paradise Asian Cafe over 4 years ago and recently we were told about a Sunfower being a closer option for us. I live in Aurora, which is a bit of a drive to this restaurant, but I definitely want to go back and try more of the several varieties of dumplings they offer. ![]() That aside, we were mostly pleased with our experience here. It's a bit too basic for the great quality of food they serve and the prices they charge. Also unfortunately, the atmosphere doesn't match the cuisine. We had a couple plum wines to wash everything down with, which unfortunately tasted as though the bottle had been open for awhile and maybe not the best quality (more sugary than usual). Mom enjoyed her order of Happy Family and cream cheese wontons. I also had their hot and sour soup (which I MUST try at every restaurant that offers it) which was better than average, but lacked the strips of pork I have come to enjoy in that variety. I had an order of Bánh Bôt Loc (Vietnamese shrimp and pork dumplings) that were to die for! These alone are reason enough to go back. ![]() Fantastic service and great variety of Vietnamese and Chinese cuisines. Mom brought me here for my birthday lunch.
